Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Mitra ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

Description of Service

Mitra is a desktop productivity application that provides:

Focus timer with Pomodoro technique support
Task management and organization
Calendar view and scheduling
Notes and rich-text documents
Optional cloud synchronization across devices

Free and Paid Services

Free Tier

The free tier includes all local features of Mitra at no cost. You can use the focus timer, task management, calendar, and notes features without creating an account or paying any fees.

Pro Subscription

The Pro subscription provides additional features including:

Cloud synchronization across multiple devices
Encrypted cloud backup
Calendar integrations (Google Calendar, Microsoft Calendar)
Priority support

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time, and your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period.

Account Registration

To use cloud sync features, you must create an account. You agree to:

Provide accurate and complete registration information
Maintain the security of your password and master password
Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

Important: Your master password is used to encrypt your data. We cannot recover your data if you forget your master password. Please store it securely.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the App for any illegal purpose
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
Use the App to store or transmit malicious code
Interfere with the proper functioning of the App or our services
Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the App without our permission

Intellectual Property

Mitra, including its code, design, logos, and documentation, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. Your use of the App does not grant you any ownership rights.

You retain ownership of all content you create using Mitra (your tasks, notes, and other data). We claim no rights to your content.

Data and Privacy

Your use of Mitra is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

We are not responsible for:

Data loss due to device failure, user error, or forgotten passwords
Interruptions to cloud sync services
Third-party integrations (Google Calendar, Microsoft Calendar)
Any decisions you make based on information in the App

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to cloud services if you violate these Terms.

Upon termination:

Your local data remains on your device
Your cloud data will be deleted within 30 days (unless legally required to retain)
You may export your data before account deletion

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate, without regard to conflict of law principles.
